Mark Chapple

Mark is no stranger to the early morning alarm clock. He is the voice you hear first thing in the morning when your alarm goes off. 

Mark has worked in radio for over 30 years at stations across the UK, as a journalist, presenter and manager. Before Radio Newquay he could be heard on the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS), Pirate FM and was the launch presenter and head of programming at Atlantic FM.

Mark made Newquay his home because of his love of the town, the community spirit and his passion of living by the sea.

“I’m constantly amazed by our community. So many people here roll up their sleeves and get involved in our community, day in – day out.

“There’s definitely a feeling that Newquay is a town that’s on the up and Radio Newquay is here to reflect that”.
