EV Charging Plans For Morrisons Newquay

An application to create an electric vehicle (EV) charging zone at the Morrisons store in Newquay has been submitted.

The Motor Fuel Group (MFG), operators of the fuel station at Morrisons, want to create eight EV charging bays in the main car park. MFG has stated that their goal is "to provide access to convenient and affordable charging, regardless of where the driver lives."

As part of the proposal, the company also plans to extend the existing filling station sales building with a single-storey addition. This extension is intended to enhance the services available to motorists, providing an "improved offer" for those visiting the site.

The proposed upgrades, it says, form part of MFG's broader strategy to upgrade its facilities across its portfolio of Morrisons petrol stations, with a focus on meeting the growing demand for electric vehicle infrastructure.

Plans also show enclosures for associated substations to support the new EV bays.
