A man has been arrested after armed police seized a sword, mini crossbow and knife in Newquay.
Devon and Cornwall Police were called at around 6.50pm on Monday (24 June) following reports of concerns for a man seen with weapons. Firearms officers carried out an area search and located a man in Bedowan Meadows.
A police spokesperson said: “No threats had been made. He was engaged with by officers and the weapons were seized.”
A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons in a public and private place. He remains in police custody.
